Newburgh Urban Farming Fair 2020
Popular agricultural event returns for fifth year in Newburgh

City of Newburgh – The fifth annual Newburgh Urban Farming Fair will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020, Noon to 4:00PM on the Safe Harbors Green on the corner of Broadway and Liberty Street in the City of Newburgh. The free outdoor event celebrates urban farming/gardening with exhibits, demonstrations, children’s activities, vendors, food, raffles, and family fun.

The Fair includes crafts and seed planting projects by Hudson Valley Seed, expert advice on gardening by Orange County Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners, chicken demonstrations, and practical tips on “how-to” build container gardens and compost bins for your backyard. A special treat this year is a performance by *Arm-of-the-Sea Theater of their newest production, One Blue Sky at 1:00pm. The Fair and performance are open to the community and free of charge.

The Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative (NUFFI) is an active network of local residents and community organizations that fosters community and residential gardens, the production and distribution of food for the City of Newburgh and educates Newburgh residents about the vibrant connections of land, food and community.

Latinos Unidos. and many volunteers.
